Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is Iceland Eclipse?

11–15 August 2026 on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland, with the total solar eclipse on August 12 (the festival's centerpiece day).

What's included with my pass?

Your pass includes access to the core five-day festival programming, including music, talks, workshops, art, wellness, ceremony, and the general eclipse viewing experience. Flights, accommodations, shuttles, and select premium Side Quests are sold separately.

Why Snæfellsnes for the eclipse?

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula sits inside the path of totality on August 12, 2026. It's the only place on Earth where the eclipse is paired with glaciers, volcanoes, lava fields and Iceland's most photogenic coastline.

Is this a music festival?

Music is one of five pillars — alongside science, exploration, wellness and ceremony. Iceland Eclipse is built around the eclipse itself, with music supporting the larger experience rather than defining it.

How do I get there?

Snæfellsnes is a 2-hour drive from Reykjavík and Keflavík airport. We share recommended routes, shuttle options and self-drive tips closer to the event.

What if it's cloudy?

Iceland's August weather is variable, but Snæfellsnes has historically strong viewing odds for clear conditions. The full festival experience runs regardless of cloud cover, and we'll be tracking conditions closely with our science team in the days before totality.
